Visiting the A. C. Moore Herbarium

The A. C. Moore Herbarium is a "Full-Service" herbarium. We offer free plant identification services and frequently make specimens out of material brought to us by visitors. Our operating hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm (EST). During these hours we will be glad to answer your phone call should you have any botanical questions. You may also feel free to visit us in person in room 208 of the Coker Life Sciences building on the University of South Carolina - Columbia Campus. Please note that part of our profession involves frequent field work to collect plants; therefore, we encourage you to call first. If the door is closed, just knock.
